This course will be beneficial to all supervisory staff and the general workforce involved in the use of step-ladders and ladders. It will provide delegates with the necessary knowledge to safely use ladders & step ladders and to carry out and document, periodic statutory inspections.

An understanding of the appropriate legislation and recommended HSE guidance and best practice when using ladders and stepladders Identify component parts using industry standard naming conventions Carrying out pre-use checks and maintenance Recording and documentation of inspections (in accordance with PUWER) Suitability and selection of equipment Knowing how and when to use a ladder Positioning and securing Ladder use and stepladder use (practical and theoretical) Selection of safety precautions

 

Certification

Successful candidates will be issued with a certificate of attendance entitled:
Half-Day Use of Ladders/Stepladders Course
Certificates will be valid for 1 year
