This course is designed to provide Company Directors, Line Managers (One Day Course) and Supervisory Staff (Half Day Course) with the necessary awareness and knowledge to identify, control and manage workplace risks.

Half Day

• What are the duties and legal obligations placed upon employers and employees under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and Management of Health and Safety at Work regulations 1999
• Classification of specific hazards and risks
• Identifying hazards and risks
• Developing a hierarchical approach to safe systems of work
• Organising a Health and Safety system
• Management of Health and Safety systems

Full Day

As above, but additional emphasis is placed upon the legislative requirements placed on businesses, managers and employees with regard to workplace health and safety.

Certification

Successful candidates will be issued with a certificate of attendance entitled:
Workplace Health & Safety Awareness
Certificates will be valid for 1 year
