First Aid at Work Requalification - Course Overview

The First Aid at Work Requalification course is designed for qualified workplace first aiders who need to renew their certification and keep their skills up to date.

Covering the same core topics as the original First Aid at Work qualification, this course refreshes learners’ knowledge and practical abilities, helping them continue to respond confidently and effectively in workplace emergency situations.

Delivered in line with the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981, the requalification course takes place over 2 days (12 hours), allowing learners to maintain their qualification without repeating the full 3-day course.

Who Is This Course Suitable For?

This course is intended for learners who currently hold a valid First Aid at Work certificate and need to renew their qualification.

It is suitable for:

  • Learners looking to refresh their practical first aid skills and confidence

The course is appropriate for a wide range of industries and working environments, from offices and schools to retail, hospitality, warehousing, manufacturing and construction.

Delivered in accordance with Appendix 5 and 6 of the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981, the First Aid at Work Requalification course refreshes the key knowledge and practical skills required to act as a qualified workplace first aider.

The course is divided into two units, covering both emergency first aid procedures and the recognition and management of serious injuries and medical conditions.

I am writing to offer some feedback around the recent training that Nigel recently received courtesy of SMBC Early Years. Nigel has a training background himself and he came back from the course full of compliments for ‘Glenn' from First Response, he said the trainer was supportive, informative and very professional. He delivered the course at an even pace to cater for the participants learning need, he demonstrated patience when members in the group did not fully understand anything, the occasions for which were in themselves few and far between. The course was enjoyable and he certainly benefited from the updates that it included. We will be recommending your services.

The trainer's mixture of subtle black country humour, relaxed persona, positive non-verbal communication and technically accurate information, enhanced with his personal experiences, made this man both a pleasure to listen to and learn from.

I just wanted to pass on how much all the staff who attended enjoyed the excellent Defib training yesterday with Rod. We all found it interesting, informative and extremely well taught. Thanks to Rod, we all feel very confident that we would be able to deal with an emergency situation that required either CPR or use of a Defib. Many thanks
